Poet and author Gill Saxon lives in a village just outside Cambridge. She is a former newspaper journalist, press and public relations officer with 10 years experience of working in a playgroup setting. Her main experience has been with babies and children under five with special needs and their siblings.
The Welcome Blanket idea is based on years of experience: Gill and her sisters Christine and Pat have been making these blankets since 1988 and have often taught others how to make them.
