The very first blanket! Gill had this ready for Ben the day he was born in February 1985.

By 1988, Gill had the idea of getting the whole family involved in the project. Relations near and far created squares for the blanket, resulting in a monster! Emma still uses it today.
1998 - Lauren

Emma (see 1988!) is pictured holding the blanket made for her cousin Lauren born 10 years later. Emma helped make the blanket by knitting one of the squares.

Pat holds the blanket created for her second grandchild Joel in 2003. Christine thought of adding the border around the blanket, which finishes it off nicely.

By the birth of Pat's third grandchild, family members knew what they had to do - and it was a pleasure to do it.

When Gill was developing the books, her friend Hayley - and her family - acted as guinea pigs to make a blanket for her new niece Ella.
